Cladding Refinish
The timber cladding on this property had naturally weathered over time, leaving it looking tired and faded after years of exposure to the elements. The homeowners wanted to restore the rich appearance of the timber while protecting it from future weathering and extending its lifespan.
To achieve this, we carefully prepared the cladding across three sides of the house. Every section of timber was thoroughly sanded to remove the weathered surface and create a smooth, even finish that would allow the new coating to penetrate properly and achieve a consistent appearance.
Once the preparation was complete, the cladding was refinished using Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain in the colour Walnut. The natural oil-based finish enhances the timber's grain while providing long-lasting protection against moisture, UV exposure, and the changing British weather. The rich walnut tone restored warmth and character to the exterior, dramatically improving the property's appearance.
Preparation is one of the most important stages of any timber restoration project, and taking the time to correctly sand and prepare the surface ensures both an attractive finish and a coating that will perform well for years to come.
