The Garden Annexe

The Garden Annexe

EOur clients wanted to transform an existing garden building into a fully self-contained annexe where family and friends could stay comfortably. The aim was to create a practical, modern living space with all the essentials while complementing the style of the main property.

We began by running new plumbing and electrical services from the house before constructing a stud wall to form a private bathroom. The bathroom was fitted with a toilet, basin, shower, and glass enclosure, with PVC wall panels providing a clean, low-maintenance finish. Durable click vinyl flooring was installed throughout the annexe for a modern and practical finish.

A standout feature of the interior is the acoustic timber panel wall, which cleverly conceals the bathroom door to create a seamless, almost invisible entrance. We also installed a high-quality German kitchenette with wall cabinets and built a bespoke wardrobe that discreetly houses the washing machine while providing useful storage.

Externally, the annexe was upgraded with 100mm PIR insulation, new windows, an EPDM rubber roof, metal cladding to the rear, and thermowood cladding to the remaining elevations, creating an energy-efficient building with a contemporary appearance. Timber decking steps and a porcelain tiled entrance completed the project.

The finished annexe provides comfortable guest accommodation with a high-quality finish throughout. By combining bespoke joinery, modern materials, and excellent thermal performance, we created a stylish, functional space that adds both versatility and value to the property.
